Over the past 110+ years, Grace Hill has been a leader in St. Louis community development, education and family well-being. Having entered our second century of existence, however, we knew that we needed to grow to most effectively serve our neighborhoods.
In 2011, Grace Hill launched its landmark Water Tower Hub in the College Hill neighborhood, bringing together best-in-class professionals and service providers to partner with the community for comprehensive educational, social and economic change. This year, Grace Hill expands this model in South St. Louis at the Patch Hub, which will span two sites and seek to assemble the same high level of impact.
At the same time, we are introducing a Kindergarten Readiness Framework into all of our Head Start centers and looking to bolster our success with Early Head Start across the City. As research underlines how critical early childhood development is to a strong family future, we are on the front lines in providing such opportunities for low-income St. Louis families.
Grace Hill works with families across the region to ensure that families are economically stable and on their way to prosperity
Still, we know that it takes the involvement and growth of at least two generations to truly change a community. That’s why Grace Hill’s Women’s Business Center is working with low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs across the region to ensure that families are economically stable and on their way to prosperity. Our key partners, such as St. Louis Community Credit Union and Connections to Success, reinforce this success.
Our work will not be easy, but it is essential for a better St. Louis. We hope that you join us — along with critical allies like the United Way of Greater St. Louis and the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities — in providing our neighbors with the opportunity to succeed.
